I don't often do Yoga but I certainly did today. With no real darkroom to speak of I managed to develop 14 Whole Plate negatives on the bathroom floor where I live.(tray developed of course) talk about doing some moves...and sweating at the same time. the light wasn't even totally blocked out as I ran out of painters tape to seal the door!
thankful I got negatives and they came out nice..will share when they dry
moral of the story...we photographers are a feisty bunch and virtually nothing will stop us!!
who else is a contortionist here??

no free weights for me; my exercise is carrying the stuff...all 10 feet from the car
who said LF is for weaklings?

A lot of what I do only needs a safelight or even just a "dim room" ( pull the curtains closed -- indirect incandescent okay if reasonably dim ), but I still get sore after a couple hours of manipulating in the tray(s). If I do it a few days in a row I really notice it.

peter
im more into isometrics
i just tense up as i stand there hovering
over the sink ... and if i can get my favorite radio show on-wifi
i might channel my inner billy idol

whole plate !! that's like the golden mean and all that
stoked!

I was twisted over and around my 4x5 camera tonight, composing an image with the camera 12" or so above the ground. Using the loupe while trying to keep the darkcloth in place, and the tripod legs spread to the max, was a challenge not to knock everything over.

Not yoga (though I should), but I do take exercise classes at the local YMCA to attempt to stay fit enough to be able to haul cameras around the trails. Kudos to you, Peter! Can't wait to see what you made!!

I prefer 12 ounce curls (of the Negra Modelo variety).

I'm doing Tantric yoga pulling out all the stops and doing something with my work...
I have made a zillion prints and now it's that YOGA moment of enlightenment!

I wouldn't call it Yoga, it doesn't seem to be very relaxing and I do not think there is much meditation on this

Congrats for the happy ending anyway!

The downward facing dog position immediately come to mind.

Had enough of that and moved my darkroom into the space bathroom. Got rid of my trays and started using those plastic 3 shelve things from Walmart. My back is ever thankful.

I need to get into a ZEN frame of mind before/while I'm loading film onto steel reels - it's still a challenge for me.
Also deep breaths....

No yoga but I sure do a lot of pacing in there...especially when waiting for carbon tissue to finish exposing! I should borrow my wife's fitbit when I'm in there!

Oh wow imagine having a darkroom big enough in which to pace!
In mine, if I run the tap too hard, my "dry side" becomes the "wet side"

My darkroom is long and narrow. My dry side can easily become the wetside (and it has!) if I'm not careful. My first darkroom was a corner in my kitchen! There was no wet side and darkside!

I can't complain too much. Spare upstairs bedroom is my darkroom. Running water consists of me running it up and down the stairs 5 gallons at a time. I just have to make sure that the slop bucket is a 6 gallon

depending on what I am doing I sometimes lower my height with horse pose rather than bending over.
