Well, I've looked over the site and I'm not quite sure what to think. One thing I do know though, and that is I won't be subscribing just yet...

Thoughts people?

It uses a Fresnel to focus the image on a sensor smaller than a piece of 9mm Minox film, so the quality will be crap. It's the size of a motor drive, and will work only on cameras with an easily removeable back. It's another WOMBAT - waste of money brains and time.

Sounds like a waste of $ to support this. As said above, it's hard to get good quality with such things and how many are going to buy it. Most people just use their phone now.

Why??

One of the options is to put your cell phone's camera in the film plane for an even smaller sensor + more optics in the light path. Sounds great!

I do much better with SLRs and film.

Does anyone here remember the Speed Magny Back?

Makes this device look down-right miniature.

Stupid idea.

Analog cameras are intended to house film. If you want to house a digital sensor instead, use camera body designed to house a digital sensor, aka a digital camera.

Stick cell phone up by viewfinder. Snap picture. Same results.
You guys surely remember this indispensable Hasselblad accessory?

(I wonder how many perfectly good Hassy backs have been hurt in the process...)
EDIT: to answer my own question, after reading a bit about that contraption: it seems it was made out of cheap plastic.

I for one was never impressed with it, especially for $50,000US.
