My Dad bought this and never used it. After he died, I found it among his things. He has left the battery in, which ruined the battery contact. Mark Hamma would not fix the battery contact without stripping it down and completely overhauling it. This set me down 125 dollars.
You can have the parts of the neverready case; the stitching dried out and went south. There is a Yashica 12 on fleabay for 299.00. This camera is a pristine as that one appears to be. 175.00 plus shipping.

Sounds from the post that he did(for $125). If I weren't short on green I would grab it in a heartbeat. I've had dealings with AJ in the past and he is a stand-up guy. You can take his word to the bank.

A couple of questions...

When was it CLA'd?
Pictures available?
Lens condition (fungus, scratches, etc...)?
Body condition?
Meter accurate?

Thank you.

Yes. Mark fixed the battery contacts. Replaced, actually. It grated me to pay for a full overhaul on something I knew to be basically unused, but I understand fully his reasoning and cleaning out the old lubricant and relubing was a proper thing to do. I have dealt with Mark and I know he is a consumate professional.

Three or four years ago. I forget. I can try pictures, but my digithell stuff never seems to work right. Search Yashica 12 on Fleabay. Mine is as good or better. Lens is perfect.
Body is pristine. Meter is accurate checked against a calibrated Weston V.

In trying to get some digithellpictures (oh, my aching arthritic back) if have seen with back illumination there is some dust between the elements. Either this has come on since I use the camera last, or I did not notice it before; certainly not in the negs I shot. I still think above asking price plus shipping is more than fair considering this is a virtually new camera. But I suppose I can eat the cost of shipping to lower 48, if there are hard-nosed types on apug:laugh: first priotity would go to the buyer who will pay shipping plus the 175.

I think the digicrapers enhance what little dust there actually is, I've looked at lonses with naked eye and see little if any, and the snap looks like a blizzard.

Oh, SOOOOO tempting for this TLR-aholic! But I'm trying to pay down some bills and I've got a perfectly good Yashica D that doesn't get nearly enough love as it is.

There's a home for this. Yashi 12s are not too common. I'm not even sure they were imported into the USA. My Dad bought this from my friend who brought it in equipment from Japan during a summer vacation to the USA to sell for spending money. He did that every year..
