Yashica T AF Question

So I've had two of these over the years, and both of them had a problem where the flash would not retract into the body when you press it in. It's no big functional issue, as there is a flash "on" switch--so it doesn't just fire all of the time.

Is this a common problem with these cameras? And does anyone know of a relatively easy fix?
