My cat, Habiib, would lay / sit like that. You can make a second nice photo out of that by cropping to include just the head, paws, and the shoulder part of the back.

Whenever I try for cat close-ups with a normal lens, they're very good at turning away.

I've always wanted one of the Yashica Lynx models. I'm hoping to find one at a swap meet, since I rarely buy online.

I think that the Lynx series has the nicest, softest shutter release of any of the Japanese fixed-lens rangefinders. It is smooth like silk.

Well last week the cats in my house grabbed the negatives i just developed and used them as a toy. My negatives now have cat bite marks.

To hell with cats. Cats are only better than dogs when they are cooked into something tasty.

Any recipe to share?

Yes, of course:

7.5g metol
100g Sodium bisulfite
... water to make 1000g

Use for development, use standard stop bath and fixer. Add photo-flo or similar for rinse. Use cat as a squeegee. Discard cat after use.

The Sphinx cat makes the best squeegee.

You realize that the cats are reading this and thinking: "the staff is acting up again" :whistling:

My cat will sit and pose very nicely up to the moment I am ready to click the shutter, then decides to get up and move out of the frame

I have a 5000e with a dead meter but Sunny 16 has given me some nice B/W's. Last year got a Yashica GL from Japan that had been CLAed but still have not developed the film. Have lots of med format also waiting, just to many other irons in the fire.
