Hi Friends,
Bought the little guy from a thrift store for $20 as it looked so clean and was in the original package.
Anyway, forgot to check if the take up spool advanced with the film advance lever. Now I see that it does not!
I know it is a 'cheap' camera, but now I kind of like it and want to have it fixed and CLAed. any recommendations for an East Coast / Mid Atlantic repaire person?
Thank you,
Sepanta

Hello,
The Yashica Lynx 1000 is one of my favorite rangefinders. It's overlooked compared to the Lynx 5000 and Lynx 14, but it has a very good lens.

Try Russ Sisco at www.camerarefurb.com. He's in Connecticut. He worked on a Lynx 1000 for me a few years back.

Also, Mark Hama in Georgia, a former Yashica worker in Japan. www.markhama.com.

Awesome, thank you Chris!
i actually managed to fix the problem and also changed the seals, but when i was done and almost finished cleaning it, the rangefinder glass came lose and was pushed in, now I have it in pieces again and looking for a diagram to put the glass in the right position... if i don't win, I sending it to them!
