Pics tell the story. A fun camera that is the poor man's Leica. It combines the Nikon EM automatic speeds with aperture priority and the lightness of a rangefinder. Plus it's a leaf shutter so no flap flap camera shakes or flash sync issues. They are superb little cameras and very very sharp. Look at the pics. Battery is funky. 3V and 1.5V combined, but works fine. $45 + help me pay the mail man please.

Hi Jim-What do you mean by the battery being "funky"-is the meter accurate?

Shutter speeds change as they should. But the "battery" for my tests was a combined 3V + 1.5V. Not the original style battery it came with. Just saying the new owner should invest in a proper battery. I didn't run film through this one though. Just noted that the speeds are believable and they change.

I was using mine with one CR123 battery and one (or two?) LR44 button cell on top of it. Worked like a charm.

There are proper adapters available on eBay and other places, which makes it work with 4 button cells.

That's pretty much what I've done too. I don't know the numbers though. CR2 3V and PX125 1.5V I think is what's in there. Better not to mix and match though if possible. I just wanted to see the shutter work and note that the speeds change as they should.

Cut to hight of four sr44, silver cell batteries, a paper tube, with several layers, and use some double sided copper contact tape (both sides conduct electricity) about 1/4" or 6mm wide, to connect the batteries to each other (no tape on very top and bottom of the battery pile.

The tube just holds the batteries in line, stacked on each other and is removed once the pile is made.

The double sided adhesive on both sides of the tape holds things in place, but if you need to use single sided copper adhesive, just fold a short hinge between each of them, adhesive between negitive and positive cells in the stack.



Simple and quick to do and a muchbetter electrical contacts than aluminum foil, which some folks use.
