Yashica 44 & ARCA SWISS MONOBALL P0 1/4", 3/8"

I've recently obtained a Yashica 44 TLR, the tripod mounting hole shares the open/close knob.

Would the Arca Swiss MONOBALL® P0 1/4", 3/8" directly attached, i.e. no plate, work well with this?
