I just mixed some fresh XTOL. I was doing too many things at once and mixed pat "A" & "B" together with the water at the same time. The directions say part "A" must be completely dissolved before adding part "B".

Is this crucial? Did I just waste a 5 ltr. XTOL?

Did you end up with a clear water like mixture?

I'm afraid I don't have your answer, rather I was curious if it appeared the same. Dunk something in there, and see if it looks like a picture.

hi barry

why don't you call kodak and ask them ?
their tech people hopefully will have the answer ...
( and report back! )

Just dev a bit of clipped leader or something and see what happens. You'll probably be OK.

Maybe Kodak just likes it when you get to see it turn clear, like a magic trick.

It should make little if any differance, as long as you mixed well which you obviously did. Usually Part A of a developer is dissolved before the alkali Part B to help prevent oxidation of the developing agents, and also just to aid dissolution.

As the films are fine there's no problems.
