XG-se shorting batteries, doesn't power on

Got it from a friend who wanted to see if I could fix it, I do Nikon and Canon EOS and know nothing about it.

Came with a sweet 45mm f2 and Sigma 70-210 f4-5.6, wouldn't mind having an MD system seeing as the lenses are worthless and EVERYWHERE here.

Keep body for parts or sell for same. Get another that works.
