Does anyone know of a UK supply for X-Ray film ? I would like to try some in the 4 x 5 range. Thanks

I don't know that X-ray is sold in that size; usually people have to recut from 8x10 to get 4x5. Other than that, carry on.

I thought I'd have to cut down, any idea what the usual price is over there, maybe for expired ? Cheers

in the US, it seem ZZMedical is the most common supplier for Fuji HR-U Green. They're about $35 for a box of 100 8x10 sheets. As for european resellers, I don't know of any. ZZ medical has a weird list of countries they ship to, but its very limited--USA, Puerto Rico, Canada, Lebanon, and Australia (at least according to their address form on their site.).

I've been using double-sided and single-sided for many years now, from 8x10 to 14x17. Xray film is fun to shoot. It has an interesting look. Cheap, too. If you do source some in the UK, grab a box of 8x10, and cut it down under a safelight, to 4x5. Pretty much any developer will do the job, although you will have to dilute it down if you want gentler contrast. I use D-23 1+3, or Pyrocat-HD 1+200.
