Hello,

Thank you for looking.

In an attempt to force myself back into the hobby I love, I started consolidating my darkroom. In doing so, I donated my Omega D with an Ilford multi grade head on it to a University here in Jacksonville because I was happy they still have a film program. I need to streamline and get back to basics and want to return to a simple condenser enlarger. My other Omega D had a color head on it that I have taken off and is available for this trade.

My goof is that I was 100% positive I had a lamp house, condenser set in the attic. I have not been able to locate them. I did acquire a set of lenses, but do Not have the spacer ring and do not have the lamp house.

What I am building and have currently.

What I have to trade. All of this will be up for sale once I find the parts I need to get myself back up and going. To be clear, Trades Are the Priority on anything here. I have a ton of stuff and will be listing in the near future. Thank you

a few old wooden 4x5 film holders

Earlier pics you can see rubber tanks with 5x7 holders that are available as well. No float lids for them, but I have 4 or 5.

Thank you for your time. I really just want to get back in there and start enjoying life again. I am a custom woodworker with my own business and it takes All my time. When I have an hour or so, I would like my darkroom to be simple and turnkey. At the moment it is NOT!

Why not use the color head with 4x5 mixing box?

I just don't want to go through that learning process. I need this ti be as simple as possible. I have never used that head. It was part of my severance package when the lab I worked for shut down that portion of the darkroom and let me go at the same time.

You can use the white light mode in the colour head.
That means a diffusion source, but otherwise will perform similarly to a condenser head.

I would have to do some digging around, but I think I may have one stashed away. I am on the other side of the continent, so there would be some shipping scosts, plus I really don't need anything in trade so it would be a sale. Price to be determined. Let me know.

Yes sir. I also understand that you can use the filters as contrast filters, but I Really want to return to my roots. I have a Beseler 23CII in the attic, but it is limited and doesn't do 4x5. I have 2 lens turrets for these Omega D's with all I need. Thank you

Yes, forget about the condenser if you have the color head.

Absolutely understand the "return to roots" desire.
But in the meantime, a white light source- the colour head in white light mode - with some built in diffusion is an attractive alternative!

One thing I stopped using with my Omega D was the original head with condensers. I much prefer the fluorescent grid from Zone VI / Aristo.

I think the color head would be great.

Get a few numbers to simulate the contrast filters from us, and just write on a piece of paper and tape it to the enlarger.

Dial them in and go. With what you know of black and white printing you’re in business fast. Just because it’s a color head doesn’t mean you have to learn color.

If you use multigrade paper it’s a pain with the old condensers.
