That lever sticking out on the right side needs to be pushed back towards the upper part. Take a ruler and push the magnifier up against the top panel and see if you can pull the top up? The back part, the lower part closes to the ground glass that hinges at the back edge, looks like it is bent with the right side being up and the left side being down. So focus on the left side of the top panel when lifting it?
If you haven't used a Rolleiflex hood, It's going to be hard to describe where the hanging points are, etc. Go onto youtube and see if someone shows this (you want a C, D, E, MX-EVS; later side folding models are very different). See how they pull up and push down.
(the second one is pretty much the same as yours even though it is a D, not a C)
See if poking either one or both of the interior panels- upper magnifier and lower panel while lifting the top up and to the front and wiggling the top from side to side gets you anywhere. Sometimes one side some some real pulling (but not yanking). THere's a good chance that you'll feel metal bending in some places but this isn't the end of the world. It might bend back into shape. If you can get it open, at least you can use the camera, eh?
