Before I hit the usual suspects, any one here want to sell their rolleicord (IV-V) or Rolleiflex(something like a 3.5a)? User grade is fine as long as it works. PM me. Thank you.

Go for a later Automat.post WWII with a coated Tessar or Xenar. I bought mine for ÂŁ60 ($80 approx) at a flea market. Personally, I wouldn't get a Rolleicord although I do have one to rebuild, I just find them slower to use. I do have an MPP Microcord essentially a British made improved Rolleicord III with a superb Ross Expres lens.

Are all post war automats coated? Like a 3.5A/MX.

All the post-war Roilei's I've seen have coated lenses. Some of the early post-war Automats lack flash sync so keep that in mind if you plan indoor use and want to use a strobe (they are outstanding cameras otherwise). The rather unloved Rolleiflex 2.8A is my favorite, but not easy to find in good condition.
