Hi Guys,

Strange request here, but I'll explain. We are trying to get an old drum scanner going, and it seems the only suitable software platform is Photoshop 2 (not CS2!!). If any of you have this old dinosaur still lying around on a disc somewhere, PLEASE let me know.

Kind regards,
dorff

The scanner is a Screen DT-S1030ai. It needs a special plugin folder called PS Preferences that is apparently only present in version 2 of PS. Version 3 and onwards don't have that folder, according to my friend who is working on it. He has tried all the different possibilities in terms of cables, OS etc, and it seems that Photoshop 2 is now the only avenue for success.

Regards,
dorff

I *think* have a copy of 2.5.1. Unfortunately, it's already been registered, since it's installed on my IIci. I may also have 2.0.1, but would have to look for the floppies. With respect to 2.0.1, it doesn't have jpeg support, whereas 2.5.1 does. Otherwise, the interface is the same, and I'm pretty sure it has the PS Preferences folder.

Better yet, here ya go...

The 2.5.1 link is to the original install disks with serial number. The 2.0.1 link is a personalized copy.

Hi All,

Thanks for the kind help. My friend reported that he has the machine working now. Sort of.
