I’m looking for a Pentax LX for parts or that is being parted out. I’m just in need of two of the three strap lugs that are mounted to the camera.

The ones from the 6x7 are too large for what I’m working on. Let me know if you have a body (or parts) that need a new home).

Thanks for reading!

Are these lugs the same as on less expensive cameras like the K1000 or KM or ME etc..
The lug on the LX are the same mushroom type as found on the Pentax 6X7/67/645 Medium Format models. They are not designed to hold a ring.

These are what attach to these lugs:

And I will say the LX is a lovely camera. I had one for many years with a lot of the attachments. Rock solid camera that was well designed. From what I recall the engineers were given permission to make a camera system with few limitations and restrictions.

Other than my Pentax ES, the LX was my favorite 35mm camera. The ES won only because it was my first new camera, all those before it were hand me downs. 😁

It really is, I have a million Canons but have always wanted an LX for whatever reason when one at a decent price presented itself. With the winder and hand grip it is just a joy shoot. (Now if it only focused the other direction…)

(I should also clarify, I like the strap mount system so much I’m exploring if I can add the mount studs to a 4x5 camera I’ve been working for a bit.)

I have multiple Canons, both digital and analog and while they are great cameras, i always loved the feel and function of the LX. I was doing sports photography when I was a part timer at a community college here in Tempe. I had the motor drive and it was like a movie camera, you had no excuse to miss a shot unless the roll ran dry.

I had the high eyepiece finder (action finder?) and some different focusing screens. It made it real easy in low light to get good focus.

You will love the camera. Look on the Butkus site, there may be repair manuals available.
