Pretty sure it's because I actually go out and take photos where many are just armchair shooters... So when I post actual results showing proof that I've done what I'm talking about, they get all puffy because they can't show proof themselves and start spouting curve graphs and lens stats and tell me it's just that I have a scanner and don't print
It's ok, the proof is in the pudding. I only actually get upset when I'm asking a question and I either get "you can't do that" or "I don't want you to do that, I want you to do what I do" instead of answering the question because they don't want to simply admit they don't have the answer...
I'm totally ok admitting I don't know SHIT about photography compared to some, but I have a lot of real world experience trying... And each failure (and there are a lot, is another lesson learned.
