Hello fellow 'pugs.

Anyone out there can bear to part with an Olympus Pen F (or FT/FV?). I don't really trust the auction site very much and the good folks here have yet to let me down.

I love half frame. I have a Pen EE-3 but I think an upgrade would be nice. A Pen F would be good as I don't think I'd bother with a meter.

Thanks!

Don't dismiss the meter. I just got a battery adapter from a seller in Thailand, and the meter is accurate!

Good luck , the Pen F series cameras are so good.

I'll take a FT if one pops up. Where did you get your camera?

I inherited my uncle's Pen F with two lenses. No idea if shutter is performing properly or not; it does fire and sounds right. Send PM with offer if interested.

Some site called Bonanza. I just googled PenF for sale and it popped up. I guess I got lucky with mine, the viewfinder is completely clear. Many of these are hazy and have junk in them.

Just shoot a roll of film through it and you will see if it works correctly.

Lucky find. Nothing up there now.

I fully understand. I simply had not had time to do so, having only recently obtained it. Shutter speeds sound right, but not tested with film for accuracy. I had not even thought about selling it, not until encountering the OP. Would be happy to do testing, now that there is a potential buyer, and not merely sunk cost in testing.

I PMed you either way. No worries.

May have found some lenses. Still open to find a body. Is there anyone out there who know of someone who still repairs the Pen F?

For both your questions it will help to know where you are located . . .

Are you still looking? I have a few bodies, have to look through them, they are all stored after a recent move. None of the FT meters work, I usually pull the meter and replace the pass-through mirror with a first surface mirror (FV style) for a brighter view.

Yep.

Unfortunately John Hermanson is no longer servicing the Olympus Pen F or Pen FT. He will service an Olympus Pen FV, for the time being. Was very disappointed because I had a very nice condition Pen F that had a shutter issue and I was hoping he could straighten it out. Unfortunately not.

Best,
-Tim

That's a shame. When they're gone they're gone for good now? Is there anyone else at all out there can knows their way around this system or John was the last of the Mohegans?
