Nikon made a 1200mm f11?

I know Canon had a 1200mm EOS mount lens that still sells for north of 80k, some copies have swapped hands for well over 100k.

You also might look at the 600 f4 and a 2x teleconverter, easily obtained and probably much more reasonable in cost.

If you can't find the 1200/11 ED IF, your best option would be the 800/5.6 ED IF with a 1.4x converter. The 800/5.6 is a newer design than the 600/4, and the 1.4 x will get you to 1120mm. The 800+1.4x will be better optically than the 600+2x converter.
