Want to Buy WTB: Nice point-and-shoot 35mm camera

I am looking for a nice point-and-shoot camera for 35mm. Here's my criteria...

It does NOT have to be the top-of-the-line enthusiast grade camera.
It must have a zoom lens with a reasonable range...
It must have a built-in flash.
It must be auto-focus type, not fixed or zone focus type, please.
It must work well.... because I'm going to use it.
I'd like it to be rather smallish but not tiny.

Basically, I'm looking for a decade old nice camera. What I have does not seem to work well anymore. Anyone?

are there no thrift stores in any nearby towns like ocala or orlando? Go in and look for an Olympus Stylus zoom, they are a standard stock item these days for about $5. Go to the nearest drug store and buy a battery and a roll of film, you're set. The Stylus zoom is just what you are looking for.

You might want to look out for one of these, it's what I got my son... Minolta Freedom Zoom 140EX

But I don't know how well you will like autofocus point and shoot.

You KNOW they don't take the picture when you push the shutter release, right?
