Hello!

I have an old Meopta enlarger with a beautiful wooden base that I am not using anymore. But I would like to use it as a repro stand to make digital photographs of prints. Back in the day Meopta made a so-called 'repro arm' to mount a camera by using its tripod socket. I'm looking for that thing. Do you happen to have it lying around gathering dust? Please send me a message.

I tried to find one for a long time and never did, in the end i got a Durst 35mm enlarger that used a 3/8" threaded mount for the enlarger head instead.

what you're looking for is a great item. Not produced in large quantities. I was in your position about a similar (but different) piece that Leitz made for their Focomat Ic and Valoy II enlargers. I wanted it not for reproductions but for enlarging purposes and put it on all kinds of search lists, in different countries: also on local sites like Marktplaats. At one point I gave up and did like gorbas here: I had a small metal machining company make me this piece. I had my solution, which in some ways is better than what Leitz made.

And then, after many years, bingo! One early sunday morning it simply showed up in an email . . .

I would include Czech Republic as a place to search. Foto Skoda, if they can't help (very likely) may be able to tell you about some analog places . . .
 
Foto Skoda seems to be the place to go for Exactas and Flexarets:wink: 1 Czech Crown = €0.04 I wonder if they speak English.

Their enlarging lenses Meogon 50/5.6 and 60/5.6 are very special. I use them with the Leitz Valoy II and see no difference with the Leitz lenses.
 
Coincidences are sometimes just unbelievable! Today I went to my favorite local camera store and they have Meopta repro arm for sale! Of all the places in the world, in Vancouver, Canada where most likely nobody ever used Meopta enlargers!? Yes, I'm little over the top, I have seen a few for sale here. Price is 22.40 Can$ with tax, but most likely shipping to Netherlands will be another 25-30$ and most likely it's too much? If you still need it I can help you with it or I can give you the store contact info?

What a catch! Thank you very much for sharing. I'm afraid shipping costs spool the fun for me, but on the other hand .... better save than sorry. Can you pm me the shop info and I will inquire to see if they are willing to ship it overseas and what the shipping costs would be.

I remember reading on a now dead French link a comparison of top 50 mm enlarging lenses and that 50 mm f5.6 came out top of the list. The f2.8 Meogon followed not far behind.
 
There are basically two arms: a simple arm, as Goran found, and a sliding arm introducing back/forward movement in addition.

If it is only about the simple version, a machine shop turning just that proprietary Meopta bolt, and with a thread at the other end, may be the outcome. The rest a tinkerer might do on its own.

No idea about that system?? You are not thinking about meopta copy attachment with ground glass and cassettes for 6x9cm sheet film??
But I agree with you, simple machined round bar my brother made for me was the most elegant and useful way of doing it.

So bad I had to register to that website to be able to see picture.
That column is from older, 60's? Opemus enlarger. Different way of attaching enlarger head to column.

Wow, I was looking for a Meopta Repro arm for at least two years, but never found one. Good luck to you! I eventually found a very nice Kaiser repro stand and use this now instead of my enlarger (Magnifax 4).

Yes, there are repro-stand designs with such feature seemingly more easy to adjust (e.g. from Kaiser and Dunco).
