Want to Buy WTB: Lomo Universal Processing Tank (8mm, 16mm and 35mm)

Yes, I know APUG is not necessarily the place to go for cine stuff! And I know there are some of these tanks for sale on that big auction website.

I've done business with a lot of people through APUG and feel safer here than anywhere else.

So, before I head to that site, I ask if anyone has a spare cine film processing tank and reel, in good condition and for a fair price. I need the one for 15 meter (50') lengths of film, so I can process one cartridge of Super-8 without cutting.

If you have one of these, we'll certainly do business!

I posted the same want thread about a year ago- didn't get any hits. I checked out the film shooting forum, and cinematography forums but no one was selling. I ended up directly messaging someone on eBay and I got them to knock the price down. They were from Russia as it appears most sellers are. Sometimes they go for sale on the bay for auction and sell for slightly lower prices.

I hope to find or make a drying rack soon as hanging 50' of film around in the bathroom has been difficult. Something to keep in mind I guess

I don't think so, as I am not a user of many other forums, especially the cine forums. But I may be wrong.

That's the piece of gear I am most confident that I can build myself.

I saw some projects for development tanks made of pipes, but I don't feel confident in making them... and they don't look as efficient as the Lomo tank, which has some other advantages, like being multi-format.

Thanks for the tips. I am gonna try and negotiate with some sellers on the Bay and see what I get.

Prices are terribly high right now: $120 for a 15m tank and reel set. Shipping from Russia to Brazil is $50!

I guess I'll have to wait a little.

Not only DIY projects. Jobo offer such themselves. But you better not ask for their price...
