Recently picked up a 58mm for my Koni-Omega rig but they didn't have a finder for it ... so I'm looking for one if someone has an extra one to part with

I believe you can get by without it because the viewfinder is close to the AOV of the 58mm isf you disregard the croplines.

I can't independently verify this but I have read others that made it work.

Do you need the sportsfinder for fast action or just the top mount 58mm finder?

It's not a sports finder you're after. The sports finder are (foldable) wireframes with settings/frames for the 90, 135 and 180mm (an older version only has them for 90 and 180mm)
like thus:

what you are after, is this, the optical version:

they pop up on evilBay now and then as separate items, usually dreadfully overpriced

There was a wire frame for the 58/60mm, but that was only produced in 1963-65 for the first Koni-Omega...and the wireframe is as big as the camera itself..not kidding..can't show you a pic as mine is in the mail to me...they are collector's items...and utterly impractical to use...which is why Konica went to the optical-only-version for the 58mm

Ah, thanks for the clarification ... well ... I guess I'll take the above advice and see how close the viewfinder is to the 58mm. Unless someone has an extra optical for sale

I don't have my 58mm/60mm handy, else I would check for you...there's an optical finder on evilBay at present, but at an exorbitant rate...

Its ok, I'm going shooting with it in a couple of days and will find out  I'm not about to overpay for one ... just part of me likes to have every matching piece of gear ... maybe some of you can relate :whistling:

I have the 60mm and don't use an external finder at all, just the whole viewfinder window and it works fine. The VF window's full view is just ever so slightly smaller than the 60mm's FOV. If you have a piece of ground glass, or even some Scotch tape, you can check it against the film plane.

Yep thanks for that .. I'm finding the same to be true here, so I think I'll be fine without the external finder. Loving the lens ... I swear, these systems have to be the most-ignored biggest bargains around
