I'm looking for the steel reels that Hewes made for Jobo for their 1500 series of tanks. They are steel reels just like the normal Hewes type but the center is sized large enough so that they go onto the plastic center core.
Look on Ebay I saw 4 35mm type last week, he was selling them cheap. Freestyle sells these too. 120 version is a little pricey. 120 on Jobo reels is a pain. And on both 35 and 120, if you don't nip the corners of the film before you start, the Jobo reels are impossible. Once the Jobo reels get gummed up or discolored I toss them. New ones seem to work fine.
The Hewes reels for Jobo are a joy to use.

I had another unexpected problem because of the combined reel and chemistry weight. I had a 2500-Series Tank with 3 120 Hewes reels loaded onto the Jobo ATL 1500; after the developer (E-6) the tank lid partially came off during the lift operation.
I have resorted to using just one such reel in the smaller tank.
