I am also looking for a hasselblad system. Would be looking for a user condition, mechanically perfect, complete kit (body, lens, viewfinder, and 120 back). PM with details if you have one available.

They're not nirvana, but I doubt you'd regret it.
'Might be a good idea to solicit recommendations for what to look for, like which focus screen, how recent are CLAs on body & backs - or just budget another 30% for having it done.

If your interested, I have one that is in near perfect condition, with much of the original documentation and recipe.

Warning, it is not cheap.

I've seen a few on Craigslist in larger cities. You might keep an eye out on Craigslist. Got a big part of my kit there.

Interested readers want to know!

It's a 500c with a 250mm. I intend to sell the lens and buy either the 80 or 50. Hard to tell without being able to test. I am still looking for extra backs, a Polaroid back, a focusing screen (the one it came with has a couple heavier scratches), and a neck strap. If anyone has any of that, I might be interested. First test roll is put through and developed though and I ran through a combination of apertures and shutter speeds and everything appears to be working great.

Why not both? 80mm lenses are relatively inexpensive these days. Consider keeping the nice 250mm if you can.

I would consider keeping it if I can get a deal on an 80 or 50. Leaning more towards the 50. Also depends if I end up using it. Using it now but its hard to get what I want at times. Especially indoors with the minimum focus at 8.5 feet

Just think of those nice winter landscapes you'll be able to get with it. That's how I've used mine.

To get the best from the 250, you'll need a tripod - I've never handheld it. Also, regardless of which lenses you have, if you're using a tripod you'll probably want a quick release plate as well.

I have only used it on a tripod. Any experience on just how fast you have to shoot to handhold that lens? And yeah, I have looked into the plates as well.

The 80mm and 250mm are a good cthombination. I have only used the 250mm lens hand held.

I have a leather strap and a PolaPlus back that I could sell, but shipping from Brazil won't be cheap. I can get a quote if you're interested, tough.

Cheers,

I have a 503 cxi worth the 50mm and the 150mm. I love that 50mm i tend to crop it when printing and it is pretty close to the view of a 28mm on a 35mm camera maybe. Printing a full square and it is much wider maybe like a 21mm. I have no need for the 80mm the way I shoot and print. Oh and my camera pretty much lives on the tripod. When i go hand held I shoot 35mm.

I am not sure about the strap model. It's long enough to hang the camera on one's neck, but it's narrow (1/2"). It's not comfortable if you're gonna keep the camera on your neck for long periods.

Cheers,
Flavio
