Looking for this Hass automatic mixer as our Jobo ATL2500 has finally shipped from Germany. New is a bit pricey so seeing if someone has a used model.

It's a nice to have for your 2500, but not a requirement. Your machine has a coil that sits in the water bath so your rinse water will get up to temp without the need for a mixing valve. The ATL 1000/1500 is a different story. Keep in mind that if you do decide to use a Hass, or any valve you will need to have a bleed running or the water won't get mixed.

You might consider the D250. Much cheaper, accurate and simple to use.

Good advice. The D250 does look completely suitable. Do you have more information on the bleed valve? With our ATL3 I use a delta Model 15 which is a very simple mixing board. When I need to adjust the temp I use the spray bar at the back of the ATL3 until it settles at my desired setting. It doesn't seem like the 2500 has this feature, but of course if I go from processing C41 to B&W I'll need a way to adjust the temperature down to 24C.

Oh, and don't forget the one-way valves anti-siphon valve, water filter

I did say it's a nice to have, that said I have one for my ATL2000. I just don't think you need it, and I read a post from Catlabs saying the same. Regardless, unless there is constant water flow the valve can't keep the water at the desired setting. I don't bleed anything on my ATL2000, but I do with the ATL1500 since there isn't a coil sitting in the water bath. I just have a tee and 1/4 turn valve with a small amount of hose connected and just crack it open just enough to keep the light on the control valve on.

I hear what you’re saying. On the ATL3 I use a Delta model 15 which is pretty simple. Just looking for something fast and reliable for the 2500 which will be even more of a workhorse.

I've got two K-250, one I bought through the forum for around $300 in working order and the backup (haven't needed it) at auction for under $100. I then sent it to Haas for a complete overhaul. Not cheap but's it's essentially a new unit.

Are you selling one?

Good advice on the D250; simple and as reliable as any.
At my University's darkroom I had a D250 installed and it has held up since 1991 without a problem. In my home darkroom I installed a K250 I bought second hand - great unit but way overkill for my needs. I too hook up a Job ATL2500 to it.

I didn't know you could still buy an ATL2500 new; is it newly manufactured or a refurbished as new unit?

If you go on Instagram and search for @remjetlab, you will find his account. He completely overhauls the machines to new spec and ships worldwide. Not just Jobo equipment, but many high end pieces of darkroom equipment. In our shipment we are also receiving a Thermophot paper processor.
