Dear all,

I am looking for an 11x14 inch Saunders easel, the UA1114 model from this page:

http://www.tiffen.com/Saunders Easels List802.PDF

It has the 1 inch base which I will use with the autofocus on my focomat.
I will be in Vancouver from the 14th of January for 2 weeks so delivery would be to there as it must be cheaper than shipping to Tokyo where I live.

I'd prefer a local sale if possible in Vancouver but shipping to there will do as well.

Please let me know if you have one for sale!

Thanks,
Ben

Check with Beau Photo in Vancouver. They recently had some used 20x24 easels from that line.

Howard, long time! Hope all is well and you are having fun with that M3!
Thanks, I checked that store but no stock available

Matt - thanks, will go to the store in person and if nothing else comes up until then, I'll be trying to get one from there.

Hi Ben,

I’m sorry to hear KHB is out of stock for the size you are interested to buy. Have you checked with LPL in Japan already? I remember seeing Yodobashi selling some when I was in Tokyo was earlier.

Hi Howard,

Yes I had one already and it was ok but I'd like something better. Since now I print with Focomats, I'd like the 2.5cm base for the autofocus to work also.
I have gotten an RRB 2 bladed easel as well as a Kostiner 16x16 but didn't like either one of them for some reason. I am pretty sure the Saunders is what I need at this point.

Thanks,
Ben

I might have one in storage but don't have easy, quick access to it. It's in my area but there's a collector car snugged up to things for the winter in the way and I'm not certain I can get to it. I've been using the borderless version for the last few years and set this one aside. I've also got the 16X20 (I think that's the size) version but am not certain if they share the same elevation. I'm traveling a bit right now but will be home in the next day or so and will get at checking for you.

Hi there,
Thanks a lot - not in a super hurry as I'll be in Canada only from the 13th of January. If you can get a price estimate and shipping quote to Vancouver even before you dig the easel out, please send it over in a PM.

Safe travels!

Found it but it appears to be the thinner base (and it's the all black version). It's the model with the inset area for the paper and the blades are more part of the heavy cast structure of the unit. It's a smaller variant of the 20X24 version that I have. Until having it in my hand, I recalled the 11X14 as the blade version of the borderless (yellow) unit that I've been using. Sorry for the miscue!

Hello,

Ah I see, too bad it isn’t the one I was looking for.
Thanks for digging it up anyways!

So I am still looking folks. Thanks!

I have one. I'm in Columbus, Ohio. I use it once every couple of years whether I need to or not. Maybe I can get something else that I'll use. Will have to do some research on pricing.

Thanks a lot!

Also please check the shipping to Vancouver and Tokyo and to see what the difference would be.

Thanks so much!

Bumping this again. I am looking for the UA1114 - the one with 4 knobs that turn and with a 1inch base but I'm also interested in the V-track easels despite the fact they don't have the 1inch base.

Thanks,
Ben

Found one locally in Vancouver through the FB group "The Darkroom".

Thanks all and this can be closed.
