Want to Buy WTB Forte Polywarmtone

Hi all.
I know it´s a long shot but I thought I would try anyway.
I am in need of some polywarmtone 30x40 semi mat.
I have an exhibition in april and am a little short of paper.
Will pay top $ but not an arm and a leg.

Or can any one recomend a very close substitute.

For an arm & a leg and a very big bag of money I'd sell some of my stash, I have enough I hope for my next two exhibitions

You need to qualify what size, is that inches or cm's.

The Ilford Multigrade Warmtone FB is very nice and is now on a whiter base, my initial tests showed it to be slightly warmer with my ways of working, so that's a possible option. I really like the Foma Variant 111 but I couldn't use it alongside Polywarntone prints.

It's a long shot, but I think I have a partial box of about 75 8x10 glossy Polywarmton.

Not sure if that helps or not.

Ian the size is in cm.
I have not tried the Foma I will have to give it a go.
Does anyone know what the ADOX Fine Print Variotone is like?

Sorry, I didn't see the 30x40 (12x16") requirement. Good luck finding it.

The Fomatone 131 can be made to look 'pretty' similar to the Polywarmton, but it's not all the way there in tonality and it's a bit warmer if I recall accurately.
It's a damned good paper in its own right, though.

Stuart, Fomafoto.com based in Finland are an APUG advertiser and very good, easy to deal with.

The base of Fomatone 131 is cream while the Variant III is very close to Polywarmtone, just looking at prints made on III & Polywarmtone the only difference is the 111 images are a bit warmer, but a slight change in developer and they'd be quite close.

The prints I've made so far on III have been deliberately exposed & processed to see just how far I could push it in terms of Warm tones, so my earlier comments are a bit misleading, and I think I could easily use alongside Polywarmtone images..

I notice Foma recommend III as a replacement for Agfa MCC, I think it's possibly a bit more fkeble in terms of image tone, I need to test it in a cold tone developer as well.
