I am thinking about adding a dry mounting press to my processing equipment collection.

Please send me a PM if you have one that you would like to part with.

Thanks

I've got a Seal 210M in excellent condition I'm no longer using. It's too heavy to ship internationally, but if you're ever in Northern Ontario on a fishing trip let me know.

Wow. I really appreciate the thought, but that is wee bit to far for me to drive. Thanks though.

And I also have an excellent dry mounting press - just acquired... but I reckon Tasmania is an even bigger drive for you
Yes, I would probably get a bit wet when I got to the ocean. If I had an old VW bug it might float, but my Mini Cooper won't - especially with a mounting press in the trunk (boot).

I have the same press; really too heavy to ship internationally. Driving and combining it with a vacation may be the only option. They are rarely available locally. Unless you are willing to buy new?

It was a shot in the dark, because I see a lot of plates up here from as far away as VA and KY for the fishing and hunting .. you only have to drive to Detroit and then drive another 11 hours due north. I actually purchased it in MI, but I was living just across the border from Detroit then.

I guess I'll have to keep looking. My vacation for 2017 is already planned and paid for. Unfortunately it is going in the wrong direction -Orlando, FL.

I haven't purchased one yet, so it may not be too late. It could be too early though, we won't be in Orlando until September, so it sort of depends on how much of a hurry you are in. If that might be a possibility for you, please send me an email or PM with details of size and weight as well as how much you are thinking of asking for it.

Thanks

Not in a big hurry but I was planning to put it up on e-bay with a $150 minimum bid + shipping. The weight is near 50-60# dimensions approximately 23X25X7". Additionally I also have a new tacking iron and a 25 yd X 20" (partially used maybe minus 3-5 yds) Roll of Arista dry mount tissue for RC or fiberbase paper also works very well with inkjet paper.

The Seal 210 is very good. It heats up quite fast and you can press up to 50X60cm prints. Up to 40X50cm fits perfect and 50X60cm you need to do in parts. Works well too, but do the first pressing only a few seconds, the second pressing a little longer. After that you have more time to press one or two times more . . . Parts are still available . . .

That doesn't sound too bad. I'm just wondering if I could fit it into my Mini Cooper with luggage!

Bah! You don't need no steekin' luggage.
Put the clothes in garbage bags & jam it into the boot, what's more important wrinkled clothes or the press?
