Hi all. Have a 4x5 on the way and it is time to start rebuilding kit. I could sure use a few film holders. Lisco, Riteway, does not matter. As long as they are light tight. If you have a few bouncing around, PM me and let me know. Thanks all.

Ebay has bunches of 4x5 filmholders listed, have you checked that out yet? Be picky if you decide to bid on any.

Get in touch with the folks at the Vermont Center for Photography (VCP) (https://vcphoto.org/). They usually have 4x5 holders for sale.

The VCP is a non-profit gallery, public darkroom, general "photo center". One of the ways they support themselves is with a photography thrift store. Thus your purchase from them supports a good cause.

I will check them out, Frank. Thank you. I have gone the fleabay route before, Gary. Just looking to keep it in the community. But, yeah, will definitely check out VCP.

Chris, I've found that even the best and most light tight film holders aren't. It's always that black fabric "tape" at the end of the film holder which acts as a hinge for the part of the holder frame that accepts the end of the dark slide. Get some good black tape and be prepared to add a layer or two on top of what's there.

Yeah, I have had some thin hinges before. I know what to look for on that score. IIRC, I just added some tape for good measure last go around ten years ago. Thanks for the tip, John. I might have overlooked that.
