Hi all,

Compiling an XMAS wishlist. I am looking for a a host of dual-purpose lenses for both my enlarger and repro setup I am building. Any of these lengths from Rodenstock or Schneider will do as long as it is CLEAN, too often they have a haze and spots (from ciba processing). I have cleaned these before but would prefer something in good condition, please let me know what you have.

Merry Christmas!

I am not sure what WA means but I will list the enlarging lenses I have available. Schneider Componar 1:4.5/75mm , El-Omegar 1:3.5/75mm , Rodenstock Rodagon 1:5.6/80mm, Schneider Componon-S 1:5.6/100mm, Schneider Componon-S 1:5.6/135mm Normal, Rodenstock Omegaron 1:4.5/150mm. I am located in the eastern US so I am not sure whether it is feasible to send them to Australia.

I have a 210/9.0 WA Hexanon GRii lens with caps that covers at least 8x10 on an enlarger. I'm not printing much from 810 any longer, and the range of 810 lenses in my drawer is more than I'll use anytime soon. There are some marks in the coating on the rear element, but otherwise glass is lovely. Happy to let it go for a bargain. I can send pics, just let me know where..

Hi Bob, sorry I was going through all my old stuff this week and found a staeble ultragon 210 f9! This might do the trick for now, I think I will focus on acquiring Schneider glass for all the focal lengths (including G-clarons).

Paid through the nose for an incomplete setup, somebody please help me out!
I am after the following:

- WA Componon-S 40mm
- WA Componon-S 80mm
- Componon-S 135mm
- G-Claron 210mm

Why do they need to be those specific ones? If you broaden the manufacturers you'll find optics at least equal if not better from Rodenstock, Nikon etc.

The WA lenses no longer available. The 40mm, 80mm, and 135mm are all currently listed as in-stock or special order on the B&H website.

For 135 and 210 mm you might consider the Schneider Comparon lenses. These are 4-element lenses, but quite good performers. Additionally, they are optimized for 4x enlargement ratios, which is often useful for 4x5 and 5x7 negatives, since most of us don't enlarge those negative sizes to an extreme. They are usually bargain priced, if you can find them. I have 105, 150, and 210 focal lengths.

Not looking to pay new prices nor can I afford to sorry.
Maybe try e-bay. I just picked up a very nice and affordable modern-barrel Componon-S 135mm and Componon-S 210mm on ebay. The 135 is supposed to be out for delivery today. I had been wanting to replace my old silver Componons (with scratches) in those two sizes.

There are plenty of enlarging lenses on ebay all the time, but if not buying new, you may need to plan on having them cleaned. Even the 135 that arrived today, looks mint but had a little build-up in the rear air space. Seller called it separation, but it is in the air space, so it cleaned off.
I'm going through all my lenses and cleaning or buying cleaner ones. I'll probably start a thread on it all....

Hi ic-racer,

Generally everything on fleabay is overpriced and in poor condition anyway, there were 4 items I was going to buy but by the time I got home all of them were gone. So you see my thread, search the bay, snatch it then come back and suggest me to buy new? Sorry that isn't very helpful, please refrain from posting here unless you are passing on a deal or have something to sell me.

Bests

Sorry, I saw the thread and wanted to pass along the information in my first post; that is many of the lenses are available NEW. I had been looking a new lenses for the same reason you are; ebay can be scary. I don't think you want my old lenses. Check you PM, my ebay account is still giving me newly listed lenses and I see some that you might be interested it. I'd like to pass the inks to you if you want.

I just saw this thread is in the "Classified" section. I can have my posts removed if wanted. I had not intended to post in the "Classified" section. In fact in the Large Format forum, comments are not allowed on threads in the "Classified" section. I thought this was posting in an Analog thread about how to find enlarger lenses.

Wollensak made a wonderful 90mm optimized for 6x9 format, tiny lens but very high quality.
