I'm looking for a 'preferably' Voigtlander 28mm viewfinder. Would consider other brands depending on what it is, but nothing too fancy like a Leica. Just need something a bit brighter and easier for my SP.

I order a 28mm from China for not a lot of money. I can't find the post on Photrio that pointed me to a company that makes 15mm, 18mm, 21mm, 24mm, 28mm and 35mm viewfinders that clip on the hot or cold shoe.

They appear to be in Taipei. I'm looking for one in the USA for simplicity first. Also something is weird with that forum, it keeps logging me out.

Ricoh or Fujifilm make them. I think they’re Voigtlander rebadged. The Ricoh is off center while the Fuji is down the middle. I’ve had both and prefer the Fuji because it’s centered. Very bright glass.

You have to check the "Remember Me" box to stay logged in but even then, there's no guarantee you'll stay logged in. As an aside, I just bought a 28 and just use the entire finder of my M4. I figure that's close enough with a 28.

VC metal finders are scarce these days. Good luck finding one in the USA, though if you keeping checking Cameraquest sometimes they get used ones. Some of the cheaper finders are inexpensive for a reason. IMO the Voigtlander ones compare favorably to the Leitz finders. I use a mix of both.

I cannot beat the price. I compared it to the rangefinder viewer which has the lines for the 35mm lens and the outside edge is for the 28mm and the purchased 28mm viewfinder is the same but easier for me to use.

I found a Voigtlander metal one. Thanks all!

They are so nice. I just bought a CV 15 4.5, and it came with the plastic 15mm finder. I am so tempted to find the metal one because the plastic one is horrible with no frame lines. Just developed my pics and the framing w that finder was 'ambiguous'.

Loving the bright line 28mm finder on my SP. Looks great, so clear, well made. Voigtlander is a company we are so lucky to have.
