Would you buy an F4 if you only use MF lenses?

Buy whatewer yuo need. Think of the images yuo will get whith that camera.
Yuo people here act the same as the mass in digitalfoto. Yuo discus cameras and what used cameras to buy next. No better than to discus the latest dslr.
Just my thinking dont take it personal.

Depends on whether you think that's a good thing or a bad thing . . . :whistling:

Just as an update, KEH came through and got me set up with another FM2n, a few years older than the previous one, and still with a couple dings here and there, but overall it works just fine. It handles nicely along with my F3 though it is a tad small in my big mitts. So far so good though!

I want one those for slide copying. I bought a step-up ring to use an El-Nikkor for that purpose, only to discover the filter threads on the lens were completely f***ed. I've had that El for years but never thought to look at the front thread!

Rumor has it the 55/2.8 is extremely sharp all the way out to infinity, would you concur?

I've heard the same which is why I'm interested in it. I'll track one down eventually.

+1. The 55mm/F2.8 Ais is a permanent resident in my backpack, along with the PK11-13 rings. The lens, as many have suggested, does just as well for 35mm landscape/nature work as it does for the "micro" shooting for which it was intended (?). Unless I know in advance that I will need the extra speed, oftentimes, I leave the 50mm/F1.2 Ais at home...

Funny how things work out, there's a 55 f/2.8 on its way to me.

'grats... Will probably be replacing the one shown on my F4 with a nicer copy. Yeah, I know it's my original 55 micro, but it's well-worn, so it's time to get one that's in better shape.
