Yesterday I was browsing the Camera Obscura gift shop in Edinburgh and came across a build-it-yourself pinhole camera. I literally did a head slap, realizing I had completely forgotten to take my camera out the day before for WPPD! Ugh, I’m not happy with myself, but I blame the head cold that started the same day - a stuffy head does not make for clear thinking! Oh well, here’s hoping for next year.

This was my submission shot with the PPPF camera. This was a 12 minute exposure with a pinhole of 0.5. The focal length used was 155mm which calculates to f/517. The film is Fujifilm FP-100C.

It was a lovely day to be in the backyard.
My submission. Didn't quite get the angles, but there is no fun in certainty. Had to wait for a chance to get a Vandyke Brown contact print.
14"x 17" .7mm, f350. 90 degree angle.

One submission and one that didn't make the cut. Both exposures were made with my Vermeer 8x10 on Ekascan BR/A

My WPPD submission, taken on 28 April 2019.

It was cold, rainy, and windy here in southern NY. Braving the elements, I drove the wife and cameras up to Poughkeepsie and we did the Walkway across the Hudson -- a converted old railroad bridge. I took a roll and a half of completely forgettable images on 120 film but then we decided that we were already wet so we would continue south, down Haviland road on the New Jersey side to the Mid-Hudson Bridge, walk across to the NY side, and then go back through Poughkeepsie to our car. Well we were pretty soaked by the end, but along the way I saw the phalanx of billboards right and perfect road name so that was good. Then the flowers somewhere in midst of Poughkeepsie too. Good day, despite Mother Nature's hostility.

Taken on the same day, but not submitted to WPPD.

Both images made with an Agfa Clack that has been converted to a pinhole. I used a commercial laser drilled pinhole (0.34mm) for this conversion. With roughly a 67-68mm focal length, that puts the camera at f/194. I really like the curved film plane in th Clack; it does a great job of keeping a more even exposure. The Clack is fairly compact too, which is another bonus. It also has a super-smooth film advance. I'm quite pleased with this camera and this may become a regular user.

Both images on Fuji Acros (8 second exposure), souped in HC-110 (1+31) for 7:30 at 18C. Scanned on a crappy Epson flatbed.

I've submitted my offering, and await with "baited" breath its acceptance.
Here is one that I did not submit:

Nice one Matt! For some reason I really like a good flare with pinhole images.

Here's my submission for WPPD, shot with a RealitySoSubtle 6x17 on Portra 400 with a 3 sec. exposure. This was at the Arizona Railroad Museum and was with the group from Art Intersection out of Gilbert AZ.

This is one of the few images that doesn't have my thumb in the edge of the frame. Hadn't used the camera for a while and think my previous exposure had been long enough that my thumb didn't show up. Shooting in the midday Arizona sum with 400 speed film is a different story. I'll have to really pay attention as its really difficult to operate the shutter without encroaching on image.

Nice image Roger. Like the bendy perspective.

As for the shutter-thumb issue, what I use is one of those super cheap foam paintbrushes (I use a two inch wide one). Put it over the shutter before opening the shutter -- handle pointing up so your hand is above the camera. Then open the shutter with the other hand, wait for any vibrations to die down, and whisk the paintbrush away for the exposure time, then put the brush back over the shutter to end exposure, then close the shutter with the other hand. Works great and I've never gotten my thumb or hand in the picture even with super quick exposures, even when using Tmax 3200 for "street" shots.

Thanks for the tip, have plenty of foam brushes in the garage, I'll through one in the camera bag

. Here's another thumb free image, longer exposure. About 50 seconds if I recall.

I see some neat stuff in this thread! Alas, it's taken me way too long, but I finally submitted one of the whole two that I took to the WPPD folks this morning.

This was the submission:

And this was the other sheet in the holder:
_WPPD2019_2-B_PrintScan_Arch_SoEnd_Rte113Bridge.jpg

The subject is a highway bridge carrying Pennsylvania Route 113 over the Schuylkill River near Phoenixville -- it is close to home -- and holds still for long exposures! Those are scanned contact prints from 8x10 Fuji HR-T x-ray film shot around ISO 50 and developed in HC110 1+63.

It was a dreary, drizzly day, and I had just returned from a week and half across the pond the day before, so the whole event got short shrift. (But I get my participation star. :whistling: )

Some nice images!
This was my submission. Hacked 4x5 with not enough coverage. Long expired Ilfospeed 2.1M

There are some really great images here; I'm going to have to look more closely. But here are three that I took on Pinhole Sunday. My WPPD submission was the firehouse, the four garage doors.

The firehouse and bicycle bicycle rack were taken in Westerville, and the other was taken on the campus of Ohio State University.
