No sign of it here, if its reached Greece before Ireland, then I must be one of the unlucky ones waiting for the new batch.:sad::sad:

Some more hard back limited editions will be going out in the next week Fintan, but there may not be enough to meet all orders until the replacements arrive at the end of this month (not sure exactly how many yet).
Really sorry about this, - but better to have everything just right. I hope you all agree.

Lovely book, well written and designed as all of Rudman's. The photographs are wonderful and quite inspirational.

Thank you Ari. And I was truely sorry to hear about your broken toe. As one who has just broken an ankle I can only imagine how awful it could be, but rest assured - these things do eventually get better and life returns to normal and washing-up duties return.
Get well soon

Thanks very much to all who wrote. It's very nice to get feedback.
Some more are on their way out and some of you should be getting your HBs shortly. Some will have to wait a little longer as you know (waiting for replacements to arrive)

I saw Robert Hall's advanced copy, so I have no trouble waiting. It is an excellent book!

This will be one of my cherished books, its so superb. My first instinct was to reach for cotton gloves, you'll handle this book like your best negative.

Delay on the Limited Edition Hardback

I have just posted the following message to the mailing list on the WOLP website. I do apologise to those of you who are still waiting. It's very frustrating, but I hope it will be worth the extra 3 week wait.
Tim

<b>'The World of Lith Printing' - Limited Edition Hard Back version, latest news.</b>

Those who have registered their emails on this site will have already received a previous update on the limited Edition version of The World of Lith Printing.

The publisher has now informed me that they are not entirely satisfied with the new slip cases for the remainder of the limited edition and are having them re-made.

This will result in an extended wait for those who don't already have their copies of the limited edition. I am very sorry about this, but it is out of my hands.

The manufacturer has given us a new delivery date for the end of this month (November).
I have all the books numbered and signed, ready to go and as soon as the new slip cases arrive I will dispatch all outstanding orders as quickly as possible. I do apologise for this delay of another three weeks - but at least the books should all be out well before Christmas!

The soft back version is not affected by this and all orders to date have been dispatched.

I do thank you for your patience, and I also thank those of you who have received your books for all the appreciative comments that you have sent me.

Tim,
I received a surprise gift the other day from a good friend of mine (Chris Miller) who is in the book. It is autographed by both yourself and Chris. You have done an outstanding job on a wonderful book.

Cheers,
Bill

What's the latest word on the remaining books, Tim?

You beat me to it Gary. I was going to post this to APUG tonight.
The new slip cases all arrived yesterday morning and I have been busy packing all day for last 2 days.
Yours went today.
I hope/believe all the rest will be finished and posted tomorrow as I am away this Friday lunch time until Monday. If there are any over, which I doubt, they will go on Tuesday.
All softback orders have been up to date for ages and processed immediately as they are placed.

I am keenly aware of the frustration this has caused (probably even more to me!) and the patience everyone has shown. The slip cases have been made 3 times now - all on the other side of the world (to me) in Singapore, so it has been a frustrating time.
I am relieved that all orders will now be out in more than good time for Christmas (all airmail) and I hope that everyone is pleased with it when it arrives. It has been very warmly received in the press.
Quite probably my final book I think, unless I am struck with some unexpected inspiration (suggestions welcome!), as I have pretty much addressed the areas I felt I wanted to and felt needed addressing.

BTW, the next book in line is 467 of 500 - if anyone hasn't decided ;-))

many thanks everyone
Tim

Tim, I just wanted you to know that I received both books at the same time and I have so enjoyed them. I have been lith printing, using the books as reference and learning tool and having a great time. I am entering one of the prints in our Photo club's member's show this January. Thank you so much.
