Hi All,

I got pentax 6X7 MLU version and few lenses including 165 f4 LS. I want to use off camera flash and i got transceiver for that.
Now to mount transceiver on camera i need to get wooden grip with cold shoe. I checked with KEH they have wooden grip for 67 and 67ii. I have ben told wooden grips are different for different modles. Grip for 67 is not for 6X7.

Now i understand for 67ii it might be different but why not 67 grip fits on 6X7. Any help is appreciated because i check on ebay they have mentioned same name for all models(67/6X7/67ii).

Grip for 67 is not for 6X7.

Bollocks, sweetheart.
There is no difference between the Pentax 6x7 (dating from 1969) and Pentax 67 (from 1989-1991) grip mounting studs that are present on both left and right of the body.

( BTW, do not use the 165mm LS in leaf shutter mode with MLU activated, as it will cause irreversible jamming. Only the 90mm LS lens permits MLU in LS mode.) For correct sync in any situation with LS, you must also set the camera's Tv to 1/8s, and any Tv at all in LS mode on the LS lens. )

The same wooden accessory grip is used on the 6x7 and 67 bodies. It has a cold shoe. If you mount a flash, it must have a PC connecting cable to the camera. The 67ii uses a wood grip with a hot shoe. The hot shoe connects to the body with custom cable links and offers TTL flash features. The two types of grip will both physically connect to both types of body, so if you use a grip just to hold the camera and do not use a flash, all grips can be used on all bodies.
