Hmm interesting. Does this mean if I add a drop of detergent in my developer I can get these psychedelic effects?

Depending on the particular emulsion, some surfactants can act as development accelerators - and may be incorporated in some emulsion components to perform as such.

Are you planning to reuse the Unicolor developer a lot more? If not could you try experiment with adding detergent into the developer tank before adding in the developer? I'm inclined to try this since my Tetenal C41 developer is almost at the end of its usage.

Hello, yes I can certainly try, i have still that Unicolor. But first I will do what I should have done in the first place: develop some length of film in the Unicolor with the Fuji agitation again, just to be sure. itś not agitation. Because thinking of it: Unicolor, 10s then 4 inversions every 30s is quite lesser than the Fuji 30s then 2s every 13s.
C41 is supposed to be standardized, but not sure the norm is strict about concentration and ðerefor agitation....
