Definitely if you start to get frustrated and your hands start getting sweaty, time to take a break and regroup.

That's what I do when it gets uneasy. I drop the film in the tank, close it, go away for a few minutes and then start over.
I remember once I couldn't get a tri-x in the spool. So, I dropped the film in the tank, closed the tank and went to the kitchen to make some coffee. Going back to the bathroom (that doubles also as my darkroom :smile: ), to my surprise saw the film on the left side of the tank. :blink: Inside the tank was the backing paper. I guess drinking and developing film do not pair. :smile:
