Am I correct in assuming that the Tetenal E6 kits will never be available again? They have been unavailable for at least 6 months and the company Tetenal 1847 has made no announcements at all.
I got this response from Tetenal 1847 about the E6 kits:
"Thank you for your interest in our products.
We are still working on establishing our production processes which started in May and will take some more time. Maybe it will be available in late autumn.
Thank you for your patience."
I would contact Bellini directly, they are very helpful. But I suspect the 5l kits are not being made at present.
And also contact Tetenal to encourage them to re-launch their 4-bath kit?
Where can I get the 5l bellini kit in the us?
Freestyle only lists 1l. Arista is too expensive and and I loved the tetenal 4 bath kit, so I dont want to compromise further.
Right now seems like I will have to send out my e6 unless I can find something as good and more economical
I'm not paying the premium for buying in 1L size. Get me the 5L or at least more than 1L in the US and I'll consider Bellini.
I don't know about production in the US, so it's possible that stuff is being produced there without my knowledge.
ruining your film with non-standard, bad chemistry
An update: I heard from Tetenal 1847 yesterday and they assure me, for E6 kits,
"We are setting up a new production which takes time. The time of delivery is about 12 weeks."
That takes us to early January 2024 (just be be optimistic). I do hope they sort their supplier/production issues. I'm managing OK with the Bellini 7-bath 1 litre kit, it's easier than it first looks as there are no rinses between most of the baths. But I still prefer the Tetenal 4-bath 2.5 litre kit and it works out cheaper for me.
This is great news, considering there is no E6 Lab left ih Ireland anymore.
I have been mixing my Bellini kit one shot for 12 rolls per kit. meaning I use my chems over diluted ( I mix for 140ml in my small Jobo 35mm tank ). I purge the concentrate bottles with Argon after mixing. I don't have a good idea of storage time yet as I just recently started using Bellini. The Tetenal kits would last 6 months to a year this way. My processing times are longish this way but the results are good.
I'm about to try something different, mix 500ml at a time ( proper dilution ) and see what kind of longevity I get.
