Will film be banned?

I was a vegetarian for years. They make some good meat substitutes these days.

If you are a vegetarian and committed to be one, why you desire a meat substitute?

What's this nonsense then???

I have an E-bike that will get me to the grocery store. That's a way to save fuel. Of course I broke a collar bone and six ribs falling of a bike once. That involved an ambulance, ER, staying home from work. This bike is made from aluminum is massive, weighs 70 pounds and has a huge motor and battery. It has a grip throttle to help me get pedaling, assists upto 40 kph. I would need to displace 5,000 miles of auto driving to offset the energy used in making the bike.

Zero global warming impact, looks like how Western movies in the 50's and 60's depicted the Soviet bloc. No personal automobiles, much smaller homes. That's a bit harder to sell.

Doesn't have to be grim. Bring back the small towns and village life. European style cities, real mass transit is a wonderful thing.

For years people on Photrio and the internets worried that the demand for film would drop to the point where film would just stop being made at all.

Now people on Photrio raise (baseless) worries that film manufacture uses SO MANY RESOURCES that it will be banned (when was an entire consumer industry banned, ever? Lawn darts?)

Maybe people on Photrio just aren't happy unless they are worrying.

Photrio syndrome???
  1. The end of film?
  2. Shoot at box speed?
  3. No more D76/ID11 (or insert your own developer name)?
  4. Don't/do pre wash?
  5. Invert or swirl?
  6. And how many per minute?
  7. Stopbath or water?
  8. To squeegee or not?
  9. Making lists on Photrio?
  10. Kodachrome revival?

Hey, I heard that sun stops emitting light sometime! Is there any alternatives to flash lights since batteries die in -271F (-168C) ?

I was fine until I saw this list. Now I am wandering, with glazed eyes. along our "Inter-City 125 line waiting for a train to arrive and solve everything for me

European geography is smaller than American. Towns are closer together. I did a vacation in the American southwest to shoot pictures in our national parks. I drove three thousand miles in 16 days just in part of four states. Europe is much denser.

You forgot defraction.

I have enough in my freezer to survive the ban for a while. Maybe I have to stock up on cheap coffee and vitamin C.

Human scale you could say.
The coastal sweet spots are pretty full in the US though. ;-)

Will film be banned. God, let's hope so! I could probably be living it up on the Rivera for what I've spent on film photography over the years. And to think, all I really needed was a Nikon D50 and some SD cards

I drove to and from Tetons/Yellowstone from Iowa. Wyoming is forever.
We need Bullet trains with ejector seats. Load up in Chicago and eject people as the train goes west .

Density?

"If she floats, she's made of wood, and therefore, A Witch!"

I'm going long on film photography equipment. I think that film is going to double, triple in the coming years. Fine equipment just keeps going up.

Ilford has got a cheap camera. Need another Instamatic.

Places that can print pictures using the internet and mail will be around. Biggest hurdle is whats left of the US Postal Service.

Very Good!!!
