maybe,but I wouldn't risk it with anything avove 5V.get a radio trigger andbe safe.:smile:



Sure. But if you don't want to get one, till 250v Nikon's circuitry won't get fried. I have tried the vivitar 285 on my d90 and worked okay.

More than electronics, problem is ergonomics. The 285 is a clumsy thing to mount on the smaller /lighter DSLRs without battery packs. (or even with).

Which camera? The OP's?

The Nikon D90 handles 250v flashes via hot-shoe. You should go check the Nikon site or manuals!


Anyhow, this is a 4yo thread . Dunno why I didn't see that in the first place.
