I'm heading east for a bit to visit family in Wilbraham, Mass. Anyone know that area? Are there any good camera shops for those of us into vintage cameras? I think I am going to Boston, too. So either area! Thanks in advance...

I am in the next town over... Springfield. You would have a better chance of finding vintage cameras in the Boston area. Contact Whiteymorange here on APUG, he is a wealth of info in that area. I am sorry that Homer Simpson-ville is not a hot bed for vintage photography. Piepul's may have a few, but be ready to take out a second mortgage!
When are you headed out this way, and will you have time to meet up with any NE-APUGers?

Yes, Whitey is probably the best resource, most of the shops up this way (NH) got out of the used camera market long ago, though, there are a couple of antique shops that occasionally have some good stuff.

If you have time, cruise up I91 to Brattleboro, VT and check out Vermont Center for Photography.

OK, two mentions of my name in one thread and I have to pop up like the proverbial genie -though why, I'm not sure... . I have some small (positive) experience with New England Photo, in Arlington, MA and I know that E.P.Levine, in Boston has some great used equipment - Mike might be the best guy to speak with there, not sure. They always have great stuff cheap at the PHSNE Photographica show.

I get all of my gear through a friend, Dick Welch, at Assabet Valley Camera, in Maynard, MA. He has no store, however, and trying to get anything on short notice or browse his inventory is not really possible. Were you looking for something in particular, Tjaded? Dick is the source of all those filters and adapters I've been giving away.

New England Photo has mostly 35mm gear - lots of Leicas and such. But they have a smattering of other formats, too. So it depends on your interests.
