Wide angle lenses
A couple of months ago I got a Vivitar supplement wide and tele screw on lens from Amazon. I did not expect it to measure up to my regular lenses for my film cameras but it was suppose to fit on my Nikon D3000. especially since a good Nikon lens is really expensive. I have had good results with Amazons reviews and this lens was rated as reasonably good when used on the Nikon D3000. I was very surprised when I could not even the lens to focus at any distance. Everything was blurred. I have been a photographer for 60 years and not a novice! Not only that, even with manual setting it would not bring the image into focus , but some how short circuited the memory on the camera so the lens would not focus even when the supplement was removed. I got it to work again by removing the battery, an old trick I learned with laptops that locked up. I tried this three times with the same results. Has anyone else run into this problem or am I missing something?
