I very much doubt Acura (Honda) makes spark plugs. Find out what brand and number is used and shop around. Of course, you'll have to replace them yourself or just make sure an independent mechanic is using the same ones. Acura dealers need to amortize the cost of loaner cars, coffee machines and nice waiting rooms--some of that comes from parts sales.

At 78, I'm at that age when I enjoy little perks I would have passed on when I was younger. They're worth it. I can't take it with me when I go.

It appears that this thread has gone completely off the rails as well. Apparently people don't have anything related to photography to share.

I've lived all over the US and never heard that one. BUTTTTT, California is another story.

Ditto, nor have I heard those phrases in YouTube videos and I have and do still watch many, many Wood Working, Machinist, Builders, Makers, etc, programs.

Personally, I prefer working in Metrics, thought I just bought a new U.S. 12" Incra Rule and an Incra 6" compass, no choice locally for an Incra metric set nor a Starret metric rule.

I also find it sort of ironic that the English would ever adopt a French system of measures.

Depending on what is being marketed, or measured, the U.S.A. is use to using various measuring systems, and calculators and phone/laptops easily will confirm or correct any mistakes.

Look at the latest edition of the common and useful "Pocket Reference" by Thomas A. Glover and you'll find several systems in use throughout the volume.

Cheers.

I thought it was worth disinterring this thread when I discovered this other fascinating discussion over on the L***a Forum. Apologies if you’ve seen it before (it’s 4 years old), otherwise enjoy.

Oof, I somehow got sucked into reading through that. They took three pages and consulting an expert to arrive at a conclusion I've read numerous times either here or on RFF and thus thought was common knowledge (which of course doesn't necessarily mean it's true): L39 is an old microscope standard.

Ah well, sorry, it was new to me.

Fascinating.
But why "L***a" forum?
Do you think that we are going to be upset if you use the full name?

Some forums have restricted the use of other forums names in posts, no that I've ever seen it here.
