Not a halo but definite halation from strong backlighting that I actually like in this image, one of my personal favorites. Kentmere 100 film.

Holy Halation circles batman! Arista 100 is awesome for that vintage B&W look. Great for high lit portraits too. Modern emulsions do not have this glow. If you like this look, Arista gives it to you!

Nice, I'll have to try this film, at night. I do like halation, especially with the "right" subjects, such as old buildings.
 
You can see the halation in this back lit shot. It gives the image a really nice timeless feel. I highly recommend Arista for this kind of 'vintage' look.
Tmax, Delta etc would just look normal.

I've been using Acros more with my pinhole because the reciprocity characteristics are better, but one of my favorite photos really benefit from the soft highlights of Foma 100
