I’m in a small Brooklyn apartment, so space is definitely limited. I use my home-built coffee table as my “workbench” to do basic repairs. One helpful feature is the center section of the table raises out of the frame - great for bringing the work closer.
I typically have a magnetic mat on the table (not shown in pic) which helps with bouncing/dropped screws. It’s tight, but so far it’s worked ok for the few cameras I’ve messed with.
