Hi

How do I fit the WB on my EOS 20D to match my tungsten lights?
New firmware?

That is probably a question best asked on one of the digital websites...

Now watch out for the fall out comming your way, the chances of you getting a real answer here are pretty slim.

hey EOS it is a photo site but not a digital photo site Apug stands for Analog (as opposed to Digital) Photographers Users Group. If you had read the main home page you would know that.

It is indeed a photo sight, with a focus on analog photography, digital is a dirty word around here, but if you look on the web I am sure you will be able to find the information you require, or you might do something novel .....read your manual, the information is there.

If racial quotas are needed as a temporary measure to make up for past injustices, I can understand that, but I thought we decided to keep politics off the forum.

Since the question is asked in the "Lighting" section of APUG, the correct answer must be that you can

A: Use a colour-correction filter on the lens,
B: use coulour-correcting gels on the lights, or
C: Rip out the sensor in your camera and replace it with a tungsten-balanced one.

Many of the members here will prefer that you do C above.

What you're looking for is the custom white balance feature on the EOS. I don't have an EOS, but this what I am presuming. On the D1X, I know it's a different brand, once I set my custom white balance and 'lock' it in, I can use over and over again. Although the D1X already has a 'tungsten' WB setting. Maybe the EOS has one too. Ask a Canon user or check out some Canon user group sites.

Regards, Art.

WELL. I guess we straightened him out.

I think perhaps the correct response is

1, This is an analog site and we don't discuss digital here, sorry.

2, Piss off you little shot nose digital bastard.

I hope we'd go with 1.

If anyone has any doubt that this is a troll, just check this thread in the gallery where EOS clearly trolls off recent discussions on APUG--

Obviously a new user ID created for the express purpose of stirring up crap. Not even worthy of notice, let alone wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I was wondering how long it would take an infantile digitoid to come here and try to do this.....a little more than two years, not bad IMO.

Very likely a current member that thought it would be funny to create a new account and stir something up.

I think most people these days have access to multiple connections to the internet - through work, school, family, and friends - places we regularly visit and where it wouldn't be an inconvenience to log on the internet.
