MX sucking cells dry soon!

+1 about Pentax MX

Also love the MX, but.... Anybody else have troubles with the cells draining rapidly?? And yes, I've checked the little switch accessible upon removing the baseplate. I've had cells dead in just 2 or 3 weeks; my first MX (now afflicted with the cell hunger) used to go for 12 or 18 months before needing a reload. A local shop was of no help, save in draining my BANK ACCOUNT! Grrrr....

Nikon FA

The most under-rated manual film camera under Nikon's lineup?

No problem with my MX batteries. I just took it out of the bad over Thanksgiving to find then dead so I replaced them. Last time had been in early 2012.

Wow!! Must be nice to have a memory.

I can't even remember what batteries I changed last week let alone several years ago.

Events in my life that interfered with photography and other hobbies for a couple of years made this easy to remember. I normally wouldn't.
