Which Rolleinar have you found to be the most useful in general shooting?

I have the 3, and use the N.1 almost exclusively...

I have the #1 and #2. Most often I use the #2, for flower and nature photos. The depth of field becomes amazingly small when you get in close. It doesn't matter what camera, nor what system of close-up capability. Macro = small D.O.F.

This may help you:

#1 Rolleinar focuses 100 - 45 cm
#2 Rolleinar focuses 50 - 31 cm.
#3 Rolleinar focuses 32- 24 cm.

All with 75mm lens.

I like the #1 because I like to do waist up type portraits using full frame and a lot of smaller people are too close to focus. Rollei seems to consider the #2 most important because they pushed it with their collector packages. The number 2 is definitely more useful for detail photos. The problem with the #3 is that the perspective between taking lens and viewing lens is very different. You really have to keep in mind the taking lens is from a lower point of view.. all framing corrections not withstanding.

Also, would any exposure correction be necessary with any of these?

I own a #1 and a #2, and I find the #1 much more useful than the #2. It allows me to get just that 1/2 step closer to a subject. The Rolleinars are good, sharp accessory lenses and worth the investment if you like to get close to your subject. I would think a #3 would be tough to use due to shallow depth of field at that range and parallax problems.

I decided to go with #2 because I am wanting to use the camera for close ups of cars for abstracts. Thanks for all the information.
