Ain't that the truth Jim, I always remember a quote I once read "no photographer is as good as the simplest equipment " Edward Steichen.

Or, as Mike Johnston put it: "Ninety-nine percent of the greatest masterpieces in the history of photography were taken with cameras that are not adequate by the standards of today's digital amateur."

I believe Eugene Smith used the first camera he picked up before going on assignment; that tells us all we need to know about the serious side of photography!
One of the reasons I take pictures with a Nikon F is that I am convinced it enables me to take a better picture than if I'd used some lighter piece of equipment. Yeah right.

I'm a big fan of the "Will it Blend?" channel because they take mass-produced, current iphones etc. and blend those. It's still a wast but these things are replaceable. A Nikon FA, however, although mass-produced, can only be replaced/repaired using the finite pool of other FAs still in existence. This video made me cringe!

Didn't watch the camera video, but did watch the pizza one. Guy kinda sounds a bit like a real life version of the Swedish Chef on the Muppets.
