I believe Eugene Smith used the first camera he picked up before going on assignment; that tells us all we need to know about the serious side of photography!
One of the reasons I take pictures with a Nikon F is that I am convinced it enables me to take a better picture than if I'd used some lighter piece of equipment. Yeah right.
I'm a big fan of the "Will it Blend?" channel because they take mass-produced, current iphones etc. and blend those. It's still a wast but these things are replaceable. A Nikon FA, however, although mass-produced, can only be replaced/repaired using the finite pool of other FAs still in existence. This video made me cringe!
Some fool lady office worker asked my why I had to make so much noise. I told her that I was always noisy as a kid so my mother told me that when I got older I needed to find a job where I could make as much noise as I wanted. My answer pissed her off plenty.
